Let's rodeo!! And so begins the most rugged, daring and unique of All-American pastimes. Rodeo clearly evokes the sights and sounds of the only professional sport based on an actual working situation. 'Old Glory' snaps in the wind as a gentle reminder that 'rodeo' represents the very strength that our country was founded.

More than 10,000 people have been entertained under the splendid Southwestern skies since the inception of Lake Powell Rodeo Arena & Fairgrounds. The massive arena holds up to 2,000 eager spectators who are awed and inspired with every event.

Experience authentic rodeos with thrilling bucking horses, death-defying cowboys riding sky-rocketing bulls, the race against the clock of the barrel racers and the precision of the team ropers. The arena also hosts open-air concerts, horsemanship and cowboy clinics, gymkhanas, pow wows, wild west shows and much more.

American Competitive Trail Horse Association

Lake Powell Rodeo Arena & Fairgrounds is one of the official hosts of the ACTHA (American Competitive Trail Horse Association). Our next ride is scheduled for November 5, 6 & 7, 2010.

This is a 'casual competition,' not a race or timed event, with a variety of trail obstacles. The trail can be completed leisurely with plenty of time to see the sights.

For complete information and to sign up go to: www.actha.us.

SPACE IS LIMITED. CREDIT CARDS WELCOMED.

ACTHA welcomes all riders who do not wish to compete but want to ride the wonderful trails across the nation that we are blessed to gain access to. Many are on private lands and inaccessible otherwise. Now you can ride and take part in all the festivities, food, and friendships without competing - just join ACTHA for $25. So ride, keep a friend company and see great trails… but best of all do your part in helping horses in dire need.

ACTHA donates up to 50% of its proceeds to horse charities, so everyone wins… you, your friends and best of all, horses in need.
